Flinders principal
objective is to provide an opportunity for shareholders to create personal
wealth through the discovery and development of a commercially viable diamond
mine.

objective is to create a vertically integrated diamond business at the

In order to realise its objectives,
Flinders intends to locate and develop a profitable mining operation as
its top priority. Strategies to achieve this are listed below.
Financial and Corporate
- To run the Companys affairs cost effectively
with prudential financial control through project budgeting and expenditure
reporting.
- To maintain accurate records for public reporting
and to keep shareholders advised of the Companys progress.
Exploration
To maintain a state of the art exploration
program characterised by a focus on:
- A highly motivated professional team using innovative
techniques.
- Activity prioritisation depending on results.
- Active project generation programs.
- Ongoing investigation of acquisition opportunities.
- Farming projects out to spread risk if appropriate.
Technology
To use modern technology, particularly electronic communications
and GIS-type databases, to enable continual improvement in the efficiency
of use and capabilities of the Company's information.
To maintain an interesting website enabling investors
to keep up to date with the Companys activities.
Culture
The Company will endeavour to develop a culture
of transparency with emphasis on improving soft (interpersoal)
as well as hard (technological) skills. It will also
meet its obligations for the welfare and advancement of its staff,
the mining industry, the community and the local environments in
which it operates.
Safety, the Environment and Aboriginal Policies
SAFETY POLICY
We believe all accidents and injuries are preventable and our goal is an injury-free and healthy workplace.
Flinders Mines Limited's aim is to achieve the required safety culture by encouraging the right behaviour and implementing quality processes.
The Company conducts business in a manner that protects the safety of employees, others involved in operations and the public, where applicable, and complies with all relevant legislation, standards and statutory requirements.
Management is accountable for creating a working environment that is conducive to safe performance together with an acceptance that accountability for health and safety rests with every individual.
Everyone is personally accountable for their safety and health performance and for the safety and health performance of those they manage or supervise.
Individuals must:
Identify, assess and manage hazards. This means constantly reviewing the workplace for hazards which could lead to injury, illness or incident and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Respond quickly, effectively and with care to emergencies or accidents
Address improper safety and health practices observed in their work mates (including contractors)
Look for opportunities to improve OH&S performance and actively participate in safety and health improvement activities
Immediately report all injuries, illnesses and safety and environmental incidents
The Company aims to identify and evaluate health risks related to its operations that potentially affect its employees, contractors or the public. It will ensure that employees receive appropriate training and are competent to carry out their duties and responsibilities.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Flinders Mines Limited (FMS) is committed to carrying out exploration and achieving economic development while maintaining the environment.
The Company observes all environmental laws and complies with all applicable legal requirements and regulations.
FMS adopts and adheres to standards that are protective of the environment by integrating environmental factors into planning and operational decisions and processes.
FMS promotes environmental awareness among company personnel and contractors to increase understanding of environmental matters.
Each employee (including contractors) is held accountable for ensuring that those employees, equipment, facilities and resources within his or her area of responsibility are managed in order to comply with this policy and to minimise environmental risk.
Throughout all phases of their activities, FMS personnel and contractors give proper consideration to the care of the flora, fauna, air, land and water and conserve important populations of flora and fauna that may be affected by our activities.
We assess the potential environmental effects of our activities, and regularly monitor and audit our environmental performance.
The Company's aim is to prevent unnecessary environmental impact and to rehabilitate any disturbed sites as near as possible to their original condition. It will follow guidelines of Government departments and statutory authorities.
The Company will communicate with the public on environmental matters.
The Board and employees of Flinders Mines Limited believe that sound environmental performance is essential to the success of the company.
INDIGENOUS PEOPLES POLICY
Flinders Mines Limited is committed to developing and maintaining relationships of mutual understanding and respect with the indigenous peoples of the areas in which the company is operating or proposes to operate.
The Company and its employees recognise and respect Aboriginal traditions, culture and heritage.
The Company will protect heritage sites in accordance with State and Commonwealth legislation.
Where appropriate it will conduct archaeological and anthropological studies in order to identify sites of cultural significance and avoid accidental damage of those sights.
We will ensure that our employees and contractors approach the Company's activities at culturally significant sites with understanding and recognition of the desire of indigenous peoples to fulfil their responsibilities within their traditional culture.
Flinders Mines Limited aims to develop positive working relationships with local Aboriginal people based on respect.
To achieve this aim the Company will, wherever reasonable, provide local indigenous groups with the opportunity to participate directly or indirectly in employment opportunities and where appropriate provide the opportunity for local indigenous businesses to tender for the supply of goods and services to the Company.
